Day 1: Nazareth to Cana – 13.5 km

We start our day in the Church of the Annunciation, walking through Nazareth market, winding up the narrow streets to a wonderful lookout on Nazareth and its surroundings. We then enter the hills towards Zippori forest, reaching the old city (Sepphoris), described by the first century CE Jewish historian, Josephus Flavius, as “the ornament of all Galilee” and features the church dedicated to Anne and Joachim (parents of Mary, mother of Jesus). We then continue into the forest, reaching the village of Mashhad, which is considered to be the birth town of Jonah. We end our day in the village of Cana which is the traditional site of the wedding feast where Jesus performed his first miracle of turning water into wine

Day 2: Cana to Lavi – 15.5 km

After crossing Cana, we again enter the forest, gaining some hight to look over the Netofah Valley. surrounded by the beautiful “Beit Keshet” forest, we are heading down towards the Roman road crossing the agricultural fields of Kibutz Lavi.

Day 3: Lavi to Arbel – 15 km

Horn of Hattin

Crossing vast wheat fields we will climb our way to the magnificent view point from Horns of Hattin, where the famous battle between Saladin and the Crusaders took place. We then make our way down passing Nebi Shu’eib (Considered to be Jethro’s tomb by the Druze). Entering into gorgeous Arbel valley, we will visit ancient Arbel synagogue, and take our first views of the sea of Galilee.

Day 4: Arbel to Capernaum – 16.5 km

Mt. of Beautitudes

Starting our day at the Arbel national park we will have magnificent view over the entire Galilee. We will then hike down exploring cliff caves, where King Herod fought his strong-holding opponents. with expensive views of the Sea of Galilee, we will reach Migdal (Birth place of Mary Magdalene). Entering Jesus’ main activity area, we will climb the Mount of Beatitudes, and get back down to Tabgha and visit St. Peter’s Church, and the Church of Multiplication, and end this marvelous day at “Jesus’s town” – Capernaum
